Russia Reform Of National IP Industry: Royalty Scheme And A New Mega-Regulator

Authors will receive more for their inventions in Russia, as the local government has changed a scheme on the distribution of authors’ royalties. In addition, the government is setting up a new body to draw together the two dozen agencies that deal with aspects of the intellectual property system.

Ukraine Open Access Initiative Roils Local Authors Seeking Copyright Protection

It may be an open access initiative, but Ukrainian writers and authors are on the verge of massive protests, due to a recent initiative of the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) to conduct digitalisation and online publishing of all of the books and documents stored in the national archives and libraries.

Russian Government Designs New Strategy In Field Of IP
