The announcement is available here. The person “will have primary responsibility of focusing on the law of intellectual property, on the law of the WTO Agreement on TRIPS and related international conventions, and on legal, economic and policy issues concerning intellectual property within the international trade system,” the notice says. The analyst may also assist in some aspects of competition policy and government procurement. Research and analysis will contribute to drafting “briefing, technical assistance, outreach and analytical materials,” and the analyst will contribute to “the development of a systematic institutional information resource on the jurisprudence of the TRIPS Agreement and its implementation in the laws and legal systems WHO Members,” among other responsibilities. This includes support on other cross-cutting policy issues such as public health, development and the environment. More details and requirements for applicants are provided in the notice.
