MarkMonitor, a service which monitors and protects corporate IP rights such as trademarks online, has released a report on internet traffic showing tens of billions of visits per year to just a few websites offering counterfeit products. The Motion Picture Association of America issued a statement calling on US lawmakers to take action against the biggest infringing sites.
