Sweden and its northern European neighbours again topped the list of the most connected countries, while African countries showed particularly troubling signs, with just 5 percent internet penetration – even lower for high-speed internet access (compared with a global average of 23 out of 100 people). But mobile telephones may offer some hope, the UN said. The UN International Telecommunication Union report is available here.
