The European Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industries (EFPIA) announced today that Richard Bergström has been named at the head of and will take up his position on 1 April. He is currently director general of LIF, a Swedish trade association for the research-based pharmaceutical industry. Before his position at LIF, Bergström held senior positions in regulatory affairs for Roche and Novartis in Switzerland. Brian Ager, EFPIA’s current director general, will join the European Round Table of Industrialists as Secretary General, EFPIA said in a release.
